Meet Pamela Mahshie

Pam Mahshie joined BERNINA of America in 2020 as Overlock Business Manager, bringing more than 40 years of experience with Overlockers to the sewing industry. She is widely recognised for highlighting the creative and technical capabilities of overlock machines across all sewing disciplines.

Throughout her career, Pam has appeared in numerous educational sewing programs, including Sewing with Nancy, Martha’s Sewing Room, Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, and, most recently, Quilt Street with Hoffman Media. In her role at BERNINA, Pam supports innovation in machines and accessories, helping inspire makers to expand their creative possibilities.

 

Pam is dedicated to helping sewists feel confident and comfortable using their overlockers. She stresses the importance of practice and experimentation, encouraging makers to try something new with every project. Pam believes the true joy of overlocking lies in constant discovery of new stitches, innovative techniques, and creative ways to incorporate overlocking into everyday sewing. Growth, she says, comes from continually challenging yourself.
